Thursday, October 4th is the Hoe Down! An informal dance to live music, the Hoe Down is our annual fall celebration. The talented MTW parent band will accompany the children who perform a dance by grade level. After the children dance, adults join in! Dig up your western attire (bandanas, cowboy boots and hats) and come have a foot stompin’, sashayin’ evening of fun! This is the perfect time to reconnect with or get to know fellow parents and families!
The Hoe Down is scheduled to take place in the schoolyard, weather permitting. (In case of inclement weather it will be moved to the cafeteria.) Student dancing begins promptly at 6pm with the Pre-Kindergarten class. Tables will be set up for pizza and water (offered for a price by the PTA).
The schedule of events for the evening is as follows:
4:30 PM Begin Set-up
5:30 PM Extended Day closes early
Food service begins
6:00 PM Dancing Begins
8:00 PM Clean-Up
If you would like to volunteer for set-up, clean up and/or food service please put your name on the volunteer sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside your child’s classroom or click here to sign up right now!
If you have any questions, just place a note in my mailbox located in the main office.
I look forward to seeing ya’ll there!
Sincerely,
George Pavlou Jr.
